Imagine a world when men lived longer lives and faced hostile environments in prehistory.

Mártölammë

Mártölammë is a simple language.

Purpose

This Web site displays the language and writing system of the Mártönérsi. The language is Mártölammë, meaning the "tongue of Mártö". The Mártönérsi founded their homeland--surrounded by all sides by the ocean. After many generations, Mártölammë developed into a distinct "tongue" as compared to other languages on the mainlands.

Writing

The Mártönérsi created its own writing system, the Fehti, which developed separately from their distinct cousins.

Tongue

The tongue in this connotation means more of a dialect, since the language of men during the earliest days was the same language, but it became diverse in its usage. Imagine if you will the English language as a universal language, you will surely encounter many differences in intonation, stress, enunciation, rhythm, and many other factors.

Systems

There were older writing systems that employed pictographic and/or ideographic paradigms that were descended from the first writing system long, long ago.

Writing Script

The Fehti font is in the True Type file, FehteMartonerseRegular. The zipped file contains PDFs detailing the font and its usage. In addition, a file describes how to use the font from the keyboard and to format the text properly.

The writing system used by the Mártönérsi is the fehti. A detailed description about the fehti is in Chapter 2 in the book, Kessë K'Mártölammë. It explains the characters and their usage.

Briefly, the Fehte writing system is a logosyllabic system. It uses syllabograms representing syllables and logograms representing whole Mártönérse abstractions.
